More About Princess

UPDATE! Princesses babies are all adopted! We are getting to learn all kinds of things about this mama on an individual level. She is housebroken, great with kitties- no chasing, well mannered (no chewing or barking) no separation anxieties, no food aggression, good with other dogs, walks fabulously on the leash... All pretty dang impressive given her back ground!!! She's a total couch potato and typical pitty snuggle bug. We believe her to be around 2 years old. She is being treated for an extensive skin condition which must be brought under control prior to her being able to have a much needed TPLO surgery to repair her torn cruciate ligamet. She is SO sweet despite all these painful conditions! If you can not adopt PLEASE CONSIDER A MONETARY DONATION TO HELP WITH SUCH EXPENSES! This is thousands of dollars of treatment just for one dog! Lucky for her be believe shes worth it :) The one area that we are working with her in is building up her confidence. Shes a nervous nelly in new situations as lots of things are brand new to her. So rehabilitating, taking her everywhere with us (shes GREAT in the car) and meeting lots of people and experiencing many different things has helped tremendously in desensitizing her. She has been to the vet twice this week and had all kinds of rude things done and was such a good girl! We totally adore her, who ever ends up with her will be very lucky as shes got so much loyalty and love to offer. This beautiful little Blue Momma was named "Princess" by the family who moved out of their home and left her and several of their other animals alone in the back yard to fend for themselves. Kind neighbors found homes for the Chuhuahuas and cats, but Princess ended up at the local dog pound. Princess was just hours away from giving birth, but scheduled to be euthanized. Thankfully, "Luv-a-Bull" was contacted about the plight of Princess and through our efforts and those of The Heigl Foundation, Princess was released to rescue, taken to a loving foster home, and was able to have her babies in a peaceful, happy place. The babies were born on April 10 and will need to be 8 weeks of age before we will send them to new homes, but we are taking applications now! We know for a fact that Princess and the father of the puppies were family dogs. Neighbors stated that the family who abandoned Princess did take one animal with them when they moved out- the father of the puppies. So, we do know that the parents of these puppies were family dogs who got along with the cats and Chihuahuas in the home. These are NOT fighting dogs. The adoption fee is $250 and will include vaccines, a vet exam and spay. Princess is being fostered in down town Eugene, Oregon. Once we have your completed and approved application, we will schedule a meet and greet in her foster home so you can visit her right in a home environment. Please contact Julie at lilly2beans@yahoo.com with any questions regarding this sweet pea. Thanks so much!!!

Princess is up-to-date with routine shots, house trained and spayed/neutered.
