More About Scarlette - Adopti
UPDATE: We've received countless applications and inquiries about this pup! We're so sorry we probably won't even be able to reply individually to all the wonderful people who hoped to be considered to adopt this dog - we are so sorry for that, and want to thank everyone who sent in an application for Scarlette. All we can ask is that you please continue to check our PetList, as we plan on rescuing more sweet, healthy little dogs in the coming weeks and we will be posting them on PETFINDER as well. Thank you again. -- Luv-A-Bull Rescue Scarlette is a 10-12 week old female Boston Terrier puppy who is just about the sweetest and happiest dog on the planet. Scarlet was rescued from a high-kill shelter by "Luv-a-Bull Dog Rescue" and is now living in a foster home with an assortment of other dogs, big and small, and doing great with everyone. Scarlette has two health issues that are treatable: she has demodex mange, which is not contagious, and is being treated with Ivermectin. She also has a "cherry eye" which will be surgically repaired when she is spayed. Scarlette has no idea that she has any problems whatsoever - she is full of energy and and enthusiasm and plays almost constantly with the variety of dogs in her 'pack.' Scarlette is confident and outgoing and curious. She loves people and has an out-going demeanor. Scarlette is in great physical shape and will grow to be an athletic and active dog who will need regular exercise and daily stimulation. Scarlette would LOVE a home with other dogs to play with. Scarlette loves to be with her people, and will follow me all over the house, but when left alone, she does not make a sound, and patiently waits to be set free from her crate or the bathroom, where she is kept when unsupervised. For such a young dog, she has an incredible personality and is showing a great temperament already. If you love this breed and have the patience to nurse her through the mange, I know you will be rewarded with an exceptional little dog. The adoption fee for Scarlette is $300 and will include vaccines, microchip, and spay surgery. We will also be responsible for repairing her "cherry eye" unless her new owner would like to do so. (We were told there are two possible surgical repairs for a 'cherry eye' - one is more involved and expensive than the other, but could save that tear duct. The less complex surgery involves simply snipping off the protruding material, which will also remove the tear duct and possibly require eye drops in that eye for the rest of the dogs' life.) We are waiting for her immune system to strengthen before having her spayed and her eye repaired. PLEASE EMAIL for an application: lieslhardt@gmail.com
